Indian Railways: Where is the train, you can know perfectly! Railways launched the system with the help of ISRO

This time Indian Railways has developed a Real-Time Train Information System (RTIS) with the help of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). With this now it will be easier to track trains in real-time. Besides, Indian Railways has also introduced a real-time system to track train running time.

The Real-Time Train Information System, developed in collaboration with ISRO, is being installed in engines to automatically record train movement times at stations. This will make it easier to track the trains. Indian Railways has already installed RTIS devices on 2,700 engines in 21 electric loco sheds. Besides, the Ministry of Railways said that the RTIS will provide updates on the respective location within 30 seconds. Also, RTIS can accurately track the position and speed of an engine or train without any human assistance.

In this case, in the second phase, this facility will be added to 6 thousand more engines in 50 loco sheds using ISRO's SATCOM hub. Currently, GPS feeds from around 6,500 locomotives (RTIS and REMMLOT) are sent directly to the Control Office Application (COA). This enables automatic train charting and real-time passenger information through COA and NTES integration. At least 25 percent of customers will use it in the future: According to railway officials, at least 25 percent of passengers will use IRCTC's chatbot Ask Disha in the future. It is learned that IRCTC's chatbot Ask Disha 2.0 aims to provide quick and accurate answers to passengers' queries. In this case, a lot of time is also estimated to be saved through this Process।

For this system, what benefits will the passengers get? We have noticed that common people rush out of their homes to complete their journey by train but many times people waste a lot of time due to train delays or cancellations For this system, this difficulty can be solved to a large extent.
