The world's first electric plane takes to the flight over Washington, years after the wait for passenger transport.

Instead of traditional fuel, a fully electric passenger plane flew in the skies of Washington, USA. The plane, named Alice, made a short eight-minute flight from Washington's Grant County International Airport on Tuesday morning, US time. However, there were no passengers on the inaugural flight.

This aircraft is the result of the efforts of an Israeli airline called Aviation Aircraft. It climbed 3,500 feet above sea level on its first flight. The company's president and CEO, Gregory Davis, called the flight "historic." "This is the first time since the 1950s that a completely new technology has been used in an aircraft," he told CNN.
According to the organization, this aircraft can be charged in just half an hour just like an electric car or a mobile phone. It can fly in the sky for one hour with nine passengers. Speed, about 440 nautical miles per hour. Alice can travel at a maximum speed of 250 knots or 287 miles per hour. Aviation will collect and review this information after the first flight on Tuesday. The hope of this company in 2015 is that it will be able to make it capable of passenger transportation in just a few years. If everything goes according to plan, aviation believes that this aircraft will be able to travel with passengers by 2027.

The airline said three versions of Alice — passenger, luxury (executive), and cargo — are currently in the testing phase. The passenger plane can accommodate nine passengers including two pilots. The executive aircraft will have space for six passengers with arms and legs spread. On the other hand, the cargo Alice has 450 cubic feet of cargo space.
