Electric Scooter: The world's first four-wheeled electric scooter!

 

You have seen many scooters, be it petrol or electric models. But have you ever seen a four-wheeled scooter? Of course, it's not worth watching. British electric vehicle manufacturer D-Fly has shocked the world by launching Dragonfly, the world's first four-cycle battery-powered scooter. But it's not like five scooters anymore. It does not have any seating arrangement for the driver. Ride standing on a frame attached to four wheels. However, the rider can drive the D-Fly Dragonfly on two wheels instead of four.

The four wheels of the D-Fly Dragonfly have independent suspension, four wheel braking and an ultra-low center of gravity. Which enables the scooter to accelerate faster. Its feature list includes fully independent dual wishbone suspension, a unique carbon fiber platform and 10-inch slick tires. Its hydraulic suspension provides full adjustment. The scooter can be chosen in two trims – DF and DFX.

It has a top speed of 25 kmph or 40 kmph and a range of 40 kmph depending on the variant. However, the range depends on the road type and speed. With 550W twin motors with four riding modes, the Dragonfly is mainly designed for urban street riding. The 48 volt battery present in it will take 3 hours to fully charge. They have removable features so can be placed anywhere to charge. Which will give additional benefits to the driver.

D-Fly Dragonfly comes with a variety of hi-tech functionality. These include automatic grade highlights, turn signals, horn, digital trip meter, and spoken navigation. An alarm, GPS tracker, smart locker are included in the list of security features. A special feature of this smart locker is that the scooter cannot be activated without a PIN number pre-set by the driver. Its DFX variant is suitable for off-roading
